Launch of new AFL Development’s website

The new year marked an exciting milestone for AFL Development with the launch of a brand-new website. Reflecting our dedication to quality and innovation, we built the website from scratch to provide a modern user experience.

No pre-built themes or page builders

At AFL Development, we believe in creating unique digital experiences tailored to our clients’ needs. We use the same principles when it comes to our internal projects. As we never go for easy solutions and quick fixes, we avoided shortcuts like pre-built theme or page builders. We took our time to design and develop the website in-house. This ensured full control over every detail of its design and functionality. The result is a custom WordPress theme named AFL, which we built from scratch. With this theme, afl.rs became a fully-responsive website that follows all modern trends.

Modern, fully-responsive design with focus on performance

One of the main features of our new website is its fully responsive design. Visitors can enjoy seamless navigation and perfectly scaled content across all devices: whether they are on a smartphone, tablet, laptop or desktop. With a mobile-first mindset, we designed the website to meet the expectations of today’s users, ensuring accessibility and usability at every level.

Instead of using heavy scripts and libraries built in JavaScript, all animations on website are done with CSS3. This approach reduces hardware usage, number of server requests and the need to load additional resources, ultimately improving page load times and enhancing overall website performance. Another benefit of this is increasing SEO score and rankings.

Custom post types, taxonomies and custom templates

To manage various content types, we implemented custom post types and custom taxonomies. This enabled dynamic organization and presentation across different sections of the website. Additionally, this theme features multiple custom templates. Some of those templates are designed with fixed elements, while others are modular, where each module has its own reusable template, giving us the flexibility to adapt layouts and accommodate changing content requirements with ease.
